Justin Bieber does not want to play George Michael in a movie, despite a new report. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct this claim. We’re told it’s “false.”
According to Life & Style, Bieber has “faith” that he’s the right person to portray Michael in a film about the singer who died on Christmas Day. A so-called “source” alleges in the tabloid that Bieber has been “pushing his team to make it happen.” The same supposed “source” adds, “He showed them how serious he is when he did a spot-on rendition of George’s hit ‘Faith’ with no musical accompaniment and absolutely killed it.”
The publication further contends Bieber is “making headway,” claiming members of his “team have reached out to Hollywood execs to float the idea that Justin could star in the inevitable biopic.” The magazine’s alleged insider says, “Some execs suggested Justin could play George in his early years because he actually does look like a young George,” but Bieber feels he could play Michael “at all ages.” “He insists that with a little make up to help him look older, he can pull it off,” concludes the tabloid’s seemingly made-up tipster.
A skeptic would argue that the magazine manufactured this tale after it felt Bieber looked “like a young George,” and then built a fabricated story around that, claiming he’s angling to play the Wham! singer. Regardless of the origin of this inaccurate article, Gossip Cop still checked in with Bieber’s manager, who exclusively tells us that the publication’s entire report is “false,” and no one from his camp “reached out to Hollywood exes to float the idea.”
Gossip Cop is not surprised that Life & Style went with this concocted story, having caught the outlet on several other occasions publishing fake news about Bieber. In just the last few months alone, we busted the magazine when it wrongly reported Bieber and Rihanna were hooking up. Gossip Cop also corrected the tabloid when it nonsensically stated Kourtney Kardashian was pregnant with Bieber’s baby. And we shot down the publication when it claimed Bieber was opening a pot shop with Tyga. All of those stories about Bieber were 100 percent untrue, and so is the latest article that alleges he wants to play George Michael in a movie.
