Orlando Bloom and Nina Dobrev aren’t dating, but that didn’t stop a tabloid from falsely claiming Katy Perry is jealous of their relationship. Gossip Cop, however, can set the record straight.
An article in the latest issue of Star alleges the singer was furious when she witnessed her ex-boyfriend “put the moves” on Dobrev at Coachella’s Neon Carnival earlier this month. “Katy and Orlando had promised to be respectful of each other at the music festival,” says the magazine’s supposed insider. “Instead, Orlando spent the weekend rubbing his newly single status in her face.” The outlet’s questionable source goes on to purport it “really hurt [Perry] to see Orlando moving on so fast.”
Only, as Gossip Cop has repeatedly reported, the rumors about Bloom and Dobrev dating are wrong. The pair have been friends for years thanks to their shared manager, and were joined by a large group of other pals at the music festival. The actor wasn’t getting romantic with the “Vampire Diaries” star at the event, and therefore Perry wasn’t upset about a nonexistent situation. The only truth to this story is that all three stars did in fact attend Coachella, but all additional details are made up.
Of course, Gossip Cop has repeatedly called out Star for publishing fake news about the former couple, so this latest piece of fiction doesn’t come as a big surprise. Back when the two were still dating, we busted the tabloid for wrongly reporting that Bloom was trying to get Perry an acting role. Gossip Cop also shot down the outlet’s phony claim about Bloom hooking up with Selena Gomez following his breakup with the singer. This latest article is simply more lies from the frequently unreliable publication.
